This committee is focused on making Downtown Newark a great place to do business, as well as a destination for visitors to our community. One of the most popular events is our Farmers Market. The market is open every Friday June - October from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. In addition to fresh produce, you will find meat, honey, jams, jellies, flowers, plants and more! The market is located at South Third Street next to McDonald's.

The Downtown Committee has also sponsored many local events including Trick or Treat on the Square; The Courthouse Lighting and Sights and Sounds of Christmas. We also participate in a downtown clean-up project each year. BACK>>
